Road Building and Sunshine

After a couple more days of snow and low visibility we have a short break between catskiing bookings to finish the road network. We had a bunch of roads built but they were drowned in 100cm of snow in 36 hours and a small avalanche across our upper road network. We got out today and started rebuilding. We built the road to Wildhorse Peak and then were treated to a beautiful sunset. It's good to be getting up high again. The skiing looks amazing.

First day of catskiing. First Day of January 2009. Happy New Years. Happy skiers skiing 30cm of fresh powder. 20cm the previous day. The arctic high that was dominating December with cold temperatures and low snowfall is gone. Back to Kootenay January storm cycle weather where every day is snows. Here is today's photo of the day. Our guide Andrew leading the charge. More photo will be uploaded shortly to our 2009 Wildhorse Gallery
